Hello, I’m Vanessa, the founder of Three Sticks Gotland Sheepskins.

My husband and I live on our family farm in the heart of Taranaki, on New Zealand’s wild west coast – raising our beautiful Gotland sheep and our three wonderful children (our name refers to the kids and the New Zealand saying that remote, rural places are out in the “sticks”). Nothing makes me happier than growing and sharing our own beautiful produce, enriching the lives of our family and friends.

Since we’re literally living off the land, it is important to us that we respect nature and her rhythms. We believe in honouring the animals we raise (primarily for their meat) by making sure – when it’s time – we waste as little as possible of their gifts. It is from living this philosophy that Three Sticks Gotland Sheepskins was born.

We take great care to ensure every one of our Gotland sheep live a happy and healthy life (we know each animal by sight because of their amazing colour variations). Our beautiful and rare sheepskins are processed all within the North Island of NZ, again in keeping with our family and business philosophy to live and farm as naturally and sustainably as possible.

I hope you adore our sheepskins as much as we do, they are all one of a kind just like our Gotland Sheep.
